One of the greatest horn bands in the history of popular music, the band's alumni roster reads like a Who's Who of the world's greatest jazz and rock musicians. As Blood, Sweat & Tears has evolved, the group has maintained its commitment to high standards with the most talented musicians in its current roster. The band got its start in New York City's Greenwich Village, and soon won worldwide acclaim, becoming "the first" in many categories: the first band to tour behind the Iron Curtain, the first band to have three hit singles on the same record and the first band to combine rock with jazz. Blood, Sweat & Tears earned multiple gold albums, ten Grammy nominations and three Grammy Awards, including the most prestigious of them all, Album of the Year, in 1969. The band's hit songs include Spinning Wheel, And When I Die, You've Made Me So Very Happy and God Bless the Child. Additional information:
