Boone, North Carolina

"We at the Hayes School of Music look forward to showcasing the artistry of our distinguished performing faculty in partnership with An Appalachian Summer Festival, in a spectacular evening of music-making." - Bill Pelto, Dean, Hayes School of Music

Appalachian's Hayes School of Music enrolls more than 475 students pursuing careers in the many realms of the music industry. Supporting these students is a talented faculty of professional performing artists that are in demand as soloists and clinicians throughout the nation. On July 3, they perform a concert of solo and smallensemble music, featuring a wide variety of instrumentalists, vocalists and repertoire from many musical styles.

Named for Mariam Cannon Hayes, the Hayes School of Music serves as the center for music creativity, performance and instruction on campus and within the region, and enjoys a rich tradition of excellence in teaching and musical performance. More information on the Hayes School of Music can be found at http://www.music.appstate.edu.

This performance will be preceded by a special tribute to Mrs. Muriel Rosen.
