Running time: 119 mins.
This film is an interpretative performance of Anton Chekhov's 1899 play, Uncle Vanya, based on the English Translation by David Mamet. In the late 1980s a group of actors came together to better understand Chekhov's work through performance workshops. Filmed entirely within the vacant shell of an abandoned theater, they enacted the play on a bare stage with the actors in street clothes, for an invited audience.
