It is said that some of the greatest songwriters of today are the ones whose music has the ability to influence people of all ages. Grammy Award-winning star Janis Ian and chart-topping singer-songwriter Karla Bonoff have been creating music like this for decades.

Songs of a Generation is a celebration of song, featuring two of the most powerful songwriters who came of age in the 1960s—the most storied and turbulent decade in musical history. Janis Ian's hit songs include Society's Child, At Seventeen, Jesse and countless more from her 27 albums. Karla Bonoff has written numerous chart-topping songs, including Someone To Lay Down Beside Me, Home, All My Life, Personally and Tell Me Why. Her songs have become hits for herself as well as for many other artists, including Bonnie Raitt, Wynonna Judd and Linda Ronstadt.

Now these two unforgettable artists team up to perform a concert to remember—a musical journey for a generation that changed the world.

A Schaefer Popular Series Event, sponsored by Westglow Resort & Spa and Rowland's Restaurant. Made possible through the generous support of Bonnie and Jamie Schaefer.

Pre-concert concessions provided by Peabody's Wine & Beer Merchants from 6 - 7:15pm.
