There are certain welcoming voices in popular music that can be identified as soon as a song starts—they're immediately familiar musical touchstones, inextricably part of our collective pop culture soundtrack. Singer-songwriter Kenny Loggins possesses such a voice, and for over three decades has been inviting listeners in to experience music that reaches the heart and the senses with disarming candor, authentic emotion and rich lyrical and melodic resonance.

Loggins' expansive body of work speaks volumes with its warmth and directness. From "Your Mama Don't Dance" to "I'm Alright" to "House at Pooh Corner", his songs resonate across generations, and it seems that nearly everyone has a memory connected with the music of Kenny Loggins. His expansive body of work also includes Loggins and Messina classics such as "Danny's Song", signature solo tracks including "Celebrate Me Home" and the Grammy Award-winning "This Is It".

In 1984, Loggins' title track for the Footloose motion picture soundtrack spent three weeks at #1 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart. This is Loggins' first appearance at An Appalachian Summer Festival, and it is guaranteed to be a festival finale to remember for years to come.
