Restaurant Partner Program

Appalachian State University's Office of Arts & Cultural Programs is pleased to offer a partnership opportunity to a select group of area restaurants. In partnership with these restaurants, OACP staff will design and promote a program that offers discounts to patrons of An Appalachian Summer Festival and the Performing Arts Series events.

The Office of Arts & Cultural Programs:

  • Includes the name of each participating restaurant on a featured page of the festival and Performing Arts Series brochures. Approximately 65,000 (45,000 festival brochures and 20,000 PAS brochures) distributed to an inclined list of festival and PAS attendees, visual arts patrons, local and regional chambers of commerce and TDAs, NC welcome centers and visitors' centers.
  • Includes name and location map for each participating restaurant in the subscriber care newsletters sent to 200 loyal arts patrons prior to each series.
  • Promotes restaurant discount program to over 600 local, regional, national and international media outlets three times annually.
  • Provides complimentary, 1/2-page, color ad in festival playbill.
  • Includes specific sales information and a photo for each property in a featured page of the festival playbill. Approximately 6,100 distributed at festival performances.
  • Provides in-lobby promotions as part festival auction display. Approximately 32,000 impressions during June and July.
  • Includes name and location map, along with restaurant discount information on festival and PAS websites with link to restaurant website or menu pdf (if available). An Appalachian Summer Festival receives approximately 1,780,000 hits in the pre-season sales period and festival season (Feb - July). The Performing Arts Series receives approximately 400,000 hits annually.

The restaurant partner:

  • Provides festival and PAS with $1,000 (combination of available restaurant credit and cash, to be determined on an individual basis). Restaurant credit to be used for entertaining artists and VIPs from July - June annually.
  • Provides additional, restaurant gift certificate for sale in festival auction (restaurant to apply any necessary restrictions).
  • Offer 10-20% discount to arts patrons who present a ticket to a festival or Performing Arts Series event.
